Ingredients
- 2 cups AdSey’s Nest corn dough
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Warm water (as needed)
Preparation
- In a large bowl, mix together the AdSey’s Nest corn dough and salt.
- Slowly add warm water, a little at a time, and knead until the dough comes together and is smooth and pliable.
- Divide the dough into golf ball-sized portions.
- Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
- Place a ball of dough between two sheets of wax paper or plastic wrap and flatten it with a tortilla press or rolling pin until it’s about 1/8 inch thick.
- Carefully peel off the top sheet of wax paper or plastic wrap and transfer the tortilla to the hot skillet.
- Cook for about 1 minute on each side, or until lightly golden and cooked through.
- Repeat with the remaining dough balls, stacking the cooked tortillas on a plate and covering them with a clean kitchen towel to keep warm.
